Rare George I Scottish silver bullet teapot Edinburgh 1725 William Aytoun
This rare George I Scottish silver bullet teapot was made in Edinburgh in 1725 by William Aytoun and measures almost 7 inches tall by 9.25 inches handle to spout and is 3.25 inches across the base. It has no engravings or embellishments and has a straight spout with a stepped pedestal base, a double scrolled wooden handle, a plain hinge with a drop detail and a round finial. It is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base and is in very good condition weighing 19.30 ounces or 601 grams and as useful as the day it was made.
