This Charles II silver trefid spoon was made in London in 1683 by Lawrence Coles and measures 8 inches in length and bears the engraved initials ND to the back of the stem, it is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back of the stem and has a well formed rat tail to the back of the bowl, the bowl itself showing slight tip wear to one side but nothing major, a nice trefid weighing 1.8 ounces or 56 grams.
