This nice quality cast and crested George II silver taper stick was made in London in 1743 by Thomas Gilpin and measures 4 3/8 inches tall by 2.75 inches wide across the square base, it is crested with a lion rampant and fully and clearly hallmarked under the base along with the letter E also engraved under the base. It is in excellent condition and weighs 3.55 ounces or 110 grams.
