Good Provincial Charles II silver lace back spoon C1670 by SL ?Barnstaple
This Provincial Charles II silver lace back spoon was made C1670 by SL probably in the West Country and measures 7 1/8 inches in length, it bears the pin prick initials of TS over IL to the back of the spoon and has some very fine lacing to the top of the stem and the back of the bowl, it is marked thrice to the back of the stem with makers mark of SL – given the lace pattern I believe it to be West Country and likely Barnstaple, a very good lace back spoon in very good condition.
