This super pair of George II silver cast collet footed sauce or gravy boats were made in London in 1729 by William Paradise and measure 7.75 inches handle to spout by 4 inches across and 3 inches tall, they are of good gauge silver and have double scrolled handles with fleur de lys designs where they attach to the body, the top edges are cut and wavy, they have stepped oval cast collet feet under which they are fully and clearly hallmarked and they weigh a hefty 18.30 ounces or 569 grams. A superb pair of boats in lovely condition and as useful as they day they were made.
