Quality pair crested Queen Anne Britannia silver dog nose spoons London 1711
This quality pair of crested Queen Anne Britannia silver dog nose spoons were made in London in 1711 by William Matthew and measure 7 7/8 inches in length, they are engraved to the back of the stem with the original crest of a lion holding a X where they are also fully and clearly hallmarked, they have long well defined rat tails to the back of the bowls with the bowls being well formed and of good gauge, a very good quality pair of spoons weighing 4.20 ounces or 130 grams.
