Lovely George III silver pierced and engraved server London 1766 Edward Aldridge

This lovely early George III silver serving slice was made in London in 1766 by Edward Aldridge and measures just over 12 inches in length, it has a magnificent stained green turned handle that is free from cracks or damage and the trowel shaped blade is well pierced and engraved with a large shell terminal where the handle attaches, it bears the initials AC over MB to the back of the blade and is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back also, a very attractive piece of Georgian silver as useful as the day it was made.
