Very good quality and rare pair George II silver butter dishes London 1733

This very good quality pair of early butter shells were made in London in 1733 by IL (Grimwades 3650) and measure 4 1/8 inches wide by 4 3/8 inches front to back, they each stand on 3 winkle feet and are scallop shaped and fully and clearly hallmarked to the backs. Unusual to see a pair this early and the quality and colour is lovely and they are in lovely condition and weigh 7.35 ounces or 228 grams.
