This very nice crested George II silver bun pepper was made in London in 1737 by Benjamin Cartwright and measures 4 inches tall by approx 2 inches at its widest and is 1.75 inches in dia across the base. It has a lovely crest of a lion rampant to the front holding a bunch of flowers, it has a pull off pierced and engraved top and is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base and in very good condition weighing 2.30 ounces or 72 grams.
