This lovely quality crested George III Scottish silver salver was made in Edinburgh in 1773 by James Gisland and measures 7 inches in dia and has a shaped and French gadrooned border with the central crest of an armoured arm holding a sword, it stands on 3 cast legs with facet hoofed feet and bears the initial B in flowing script to the underside where it is also fully and clearly hallmarked, a very nice salver in super condition weighing 9.25 ounces or 285 grams.
