This superb quality crested George II silver pint mug was made in London in 1744 by Gurney & Cook and measures 4.25 inches tall by 5 inches from the handle across and is 3 1/8 inches in dia across the top and 3.5 inches across the base, it has a very unusual crest to the front and a double scrolled handle with acanthus leaf thumb piece and is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base, a superb mug in excellent condition with a lovely colour and feel to it weighing 12.6 ounces or 391 grams and as useful as the day it was made.
