This magnificent set of 4 large George II silver salts were made in London in 1756 by David Hennell and measure 4 inches wide at the feet by 2 inches tall and are 3 inches in dia across the tops. They have gilded interiors and a shaped and turned border with gadroon detailing to the tops, they each stand on 3 cast shell shouldered legs with hoof detailing leading into a shell designed foot. They are full and clearly hallmarked under the base and are in superb condition weighing 23.6 ounces or 744 grams, a fine set of 4 salts of superb quality with no problems and a welcome addition to your dining table.
