This lovely, early crested Queen Anne Britannia silver marrow scoop was made in London in 1712 by Samuel Hitchcock and measures 9 inches in length and is unusual in that it has a turned bowl to the bottom scoop, it has a very nice crest with a coronet above to the back and has a very nice colour and feel to it , it is fully hallmarked to the back of the stem with Britannia and the makers mark poorly struck but is in super condition and problem free, a nice early scoop.
