This magnificent armorial George II silver pint mug was made in London in 1733 by master silversmith Paul De Lamerie and measures 5 inches tall by 5 inches from the handle across and is 3.25 inches in dia across the top and 3.5 inches across the base. It has a very nice original coat of arms to the front and the scrolled handle has beautiful detailing where it joins the body at the top, a scrolled acanthus leaf thumb piece and is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base, a superb mug from arguably the best silversmith ever in excellent condition weighing 13.75 ounces or 428 grams.
