Superb large and square armorial George I silver salver London 1725 Huguenot Isaac Ribouleau

Price £ 5,750

This magnificent and large armorial square George I silver salver was made in London in 1725 by Huguenot Isaac Ribouleau (very difficult to come by pieces from this fine make) and measures 13.5 inches square, it has a lovely cut edged border and stands on 4 large cast feet of unusual design and has a large original coat of arms to the centre. It is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back and is in excellent condition weighing 48.5 ounces or 1506 grams, a fine piece of early silver from a very sought after maker as useful as the day it was made.
