This very nice Queen Anne Britannia silver porringer was made in London in 1707 by lady silversmith Alice Sheen and measures 6.5 inches handle to handle by 4.5 inches in dia across the top and is almost 4 inches tall, it is typically decorated with embossed spiral fluting and engraving and a band of raised rope work with a large central cartouche of fish scales, scrolls and shell designs bearing the initials T*M inside and has a cast and scrolled handle to either side. It is fully hallmarked to the side and is in excellent condition weighing 6.8 ounces or 212 grams.
