This good quality pair of Queen Anne Britannia silver Britannia silver Lighthouse castors were made in London in 1707 by Joseph Ward and measures 6.5 inches tall by 2.75 inches across the base, they have French Gadrooned base rims with reeded bands above, and further bands above that leading up to the bayonet fitted tops which are decoratively pierced and have spirally fluted bands around the top with finials atop. They are hallmarked to the sides and the tops with the makers marks and lions head erased and is in very good condition weighing 12.55 ounces or 392 grams. We also have a matching large castor on our site dated 1699
