Very rare pair large Charles II silver chalices London 1675 by WG

This fine and rare pair of large Charles II silver chalices were made in London in 1675 by WG conjoined, they measure almost 9.75 inches tall and 13 inches tall with the covers on (The covers were made to fit later C1730 by John Gamon and are marked with the makers mark only struck 4 times) They have plain cylindrical bowls with everted lips and knopped stems on circular stepped bases with reeded edges and are engraved with the original inscription St Mary Newington 1675 under both base rims, the covers are also engraved Ex Dono Eliz: Yallop to St Mary Newington. They are a lovely colour and have a very nice feel to them and are in super condition weighing These were sold on 28th November 1968 in Sothebys Fine English and Continental silver and plate sale and were bought by Wartski's for £11,000.00.
