This armorial George I silver coffee pot was made in London in 1725 by the excellent silversmith George Wickes and measures 8.5 inches tall by 8 inches handle to spout and is 4 inches in dia across the base. It is straight sided in design with a swan necked hexagonal faceted spout and has a very nice coat of arms to the front and is marked on the side with the lion passant, date letter and leopards head whilst the makers mark is under the base, it has a scrolled replacement handle and is a lovely pot by a fine maker in very good condition weighing 23.3 ounces or 694 grams.
