Very rare Charles II silver 3 pint lidded tankard London 1682 by Robert Cooper

This very rare Charles II Quart and a half (3 pint) tankard was made in London in 1682 by Robert Cooper in a dotted circle and measures 8 inches tall by 9 inches from the handle across and is 5.25 inches in dia across the top and 6 inches across the base, it has a plain body with a girdle just above the skirted base, a scrolled handle with a shield finial at the base and a rat tail running the length of the handle which has a graduated bead design at the top leading into the hinge above which is a cast recumbent lion, the slightly domed lid has beautiful cut card decoration and there is an open cast acanthus leaf finial. It is fully hallmarked to the side, to the lid and also marked twice with the makers mark towards the base of the handle, a very rare tankard of large size weighing 36.30 ounces or 1130 grams.
