This lovely quality crested George I silver sparrow beak jug was made in London in 1725 by William Paradise and measures almost 3 inches tall by 3 inches handle to spout, it has a double scrolled handle with plain thumb piece and is crested to the front with a cockerel and has a drop beneath the spout and stands on a circular foot where it is full hallmarked underneath. A lovely quality jug in very good condition weighing 2.95 ounces or 91 grams.
