This shagreen cased set of 12 very rare cast and crested George II silver cast naturalistic teaspoons, sugar tongs and mote spoon were made C1735 by Francis Harache the teaspoons measures 4.5 inches in length, the tongs 4 7/8 inches and the mote spoon 5.25 inches, the teaspoons are marked with the makers mark to the back of the stem and the tongs are marked inside the bowls to one side and to the other with the crest, the teaspoons are crested to the backs of the stem and it is the crest of an elephants head, the mote spoon in unmarked – everything is contained in a shagreen box that has a green satin covered top and a green velvet base, a beautiful set of tea accessories in excellent condition weighing 8.05 ounces or 251 grams.
