Good James I silver lion sejant spoon London 1609 William Cawdell
This James I silver lion sejant spoon was made in London in 1609 by William Cawdell and measures 6.75 inches in length and bears a lion sejant to the top of the stem, this retains some of it’s original gilding, it is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back of the stem and also in the bowl with the leopards head, the bowl is well formed with no obvious signs of wear and it has the initials L over WA to the back of the bowl, a rare spoon in good condition weighing ounces or 44 grams.
