Good pierced & engraved George III silver slice London 1776 William Plummer
This pretty pierced and engraved George III silver slice was made in London in 1776 by William Plummer, it measures 11 inches long and is 4 inches at it’s widest, the blade is pierced and engraved with scrolling tendrils, leaves and flower heads whilst there are engraved leaf patterns along the edges and around the shell shaped terminal for the handle, the handle is feather edged and is pierced at the top of the stem, it is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back of the blade and is in very good condition weighing 3.55 ounces or 110 grams.
