George III pierced silver cream pail London 1771 Fracis Spilsbury
This very nice pierced George III silver cream pail was made in London in 1771 by Francis Spilsbury and measures 2.5 inches tall to the border 4 inches with the rope design handle raised and is 3 inches in dia across the top and 2 inches across the base, the body is well pierced with flower heads and tendrils and a vacant flower shaped cartouche to one side, it has a rope design border around the base and a gadroon border around the top border and is fully and clearly hallmarked underneath, it also has it’s original clear glass liner and is in very good condition.
