Very rare 18thC carved Alpine horn knife and fork C1750
This very rare 18th century carved Alpine horn knife and 3 pronged fork were made C1750 with the fork measuring 8.75 inches and the knife 9.25 inches, each is carved at the end of the handle with a head, a female with a frilled bonnet on her head and the other a male who is bald, the ferrules are silver and the original tines and blade are steel ( a couple of nibbles to the blade edge) and the blade is stamped Gachne who would have been the cutler, an unusual knife and fork finely carved and in super condition.
