Good George II silver and agate box London 1759 William & Aaron Lestourgeon
This rare and fully hallmarked George II silver & agate cartouche shaped box was made in London in 1759 by William & Aaron Lestourgeon and measures 2.75 inches in length by 2 3/16 inches wide and is 1inch deep. It is engraved around the border with flower heads and foliage and there is a beautifully figured piece of agate to the centre, it retains its gilding to the interior and unusually it is fully and clearly hallmarked inside the base, a very nice box in very good condition.
